Benefits of Humility

I think there is a misunderstanding of what humility means. Many people have the wrong idea that humility is to be timid or shy, or means to see yourself less than others.

Avoid Pride

Pride means “It’s all about me.”  We live in a Self-centered world where everyone is looking for their own happiness at all cost, even when it means damaging other people in the process. The Scripture tells us the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father but are from this world. (1 John 2:16, NLT2)

Jesus is a Different Teacher

From the beginning, Jesus appeared to be a different kind of rabbi. He seemed to disregard the many customary laws that defined proper behavior for the Jewish people. He put people before laws. His "new way" was forgiving and kind. Jesus came as a friend to people on the outside, people suspected of not being pure, people most religious leaders disliked.

You are Made for More

We are made by God to excel  and to live a purposeful and fulfilling life. However,  many times we go around life in a survival mode and feeling like nothing turn out the way we want it. But this is the key: We were not made to live on our own, we were made to have a wonderful relationship with God. The Bible says “All things are possible with God”.  Note that it doesn’t say  all thing are possible for us without God,  instead it says With God.

Finding True Happiness

The only way to find true and lasting happiness is through the pursuit of God. we find real happiness and fulfillment when we seek and discover God’s will for our lives. Deep down in our hearts, we know that there must be something else and better, after all, god’s plan for you is better than any plan we may have to ourselves.

God Can Call Ordinary People for Extraordinary Missions

All through the History God has shown His amazing Grace to us, He chose many ordinary people like you and me and empowered them to do great things. When I read the story of the great people of faith in the Bible, they were ordinary people that put their trust in God and beyond all understanding followed and obeyed God and we can see how much God blessed their lives and blessed nations to come through them.
